My goal in life is to give to the world what I was lucky to receive: the ecstasy of divine union through my music and my dance.”

–Michael Jackson

As a lover of music of all kinds (thanks to my musician parents :) ) I have to say, one of the greatest things about being a Spinning®/Indoor Cycling Instructor is being able to experience music through movement. In a way, it’s like dancing on a bike. Teaching my Spinning classes for the last 18 years has been the perfect medium for me to not only educate people about their amazing, miraculous bodies (something we rarely honor), but music also serves as the powerful energetic conduit to truly make the connection between the body, mind and spirit… and in essence, to dance with Spirit and the Divine.

No one knew this connection more intimately than Michael Jackson. There is no question he was one of the most impactful messengers to visit our planet, using the universal language of music to touch the hearts and souls of many, but he also took it a step further. Through the medium of dance he showed us the rhythm of the Divine as well as what kind of power and love comes through us when we allow ourselves to get out of our head and into our heart – where we feel our soul and connection to All That Is – pure Oneness!

Michael said he felt “at home” on stage because it was there he wasn’t “Michael Jackson – the human ego personality” rather, he was Pure Divine Energy and Spirit – a wide open portal for God’s love to flow through and connect us all. For anyone who was lucky enough to attend one of his concerts, you know what I mean.

As Michael shared in an online interview with Anthony DeCurtis in 2001, “You are connected to a higher source, and you just go with it and you become one with the spirit. And not to sound religious or anything, but it’s very spiritual… it’s fun to become one with the audience… It’s a oneness, you know.”

Yes it is… Oneness. Oneness and Healing. Music connects the collective heart within us and moves us to feel our collective soul; dance is the expression and interaction of it all.

Though there are very few people who ever got to dance on stage with Michael Jackson, the good news is there is such a thing as the next best thing! :)  That’s doing a Spinning class not only to Michael’s music, but also having his concert footage on a video screen to make you feel that you are right there dancing with him!

I am very excited and happy to say that I will be doing this very thing and I invite as many of you in the local area to join me next Sunday, April 26th at Revolution Fitness in Santa Monica! I will be teaching a Michael Jackson Video Tribute Spin Class in conjunction with a Book Signing in the hour to follow. I taught a similar class last year with great success and so much fun, but this year it’s even more special because I get to share my book, Michael Jackson: The Man in Our Mirror, A Reflection of Our Collective Soul – a true real-life magical story that chronicles the Michael “Magic & Miracles” that led me and my family from a small town in the Midwest during the ‘80s to my mom working for the King of Pop at his Neverland Valley Ranch in the ‘90s. The best part of that is I got to play there! :) A truly unforgettable experience. Thank you, Michael!

It has been an unbelievable journey that still humbles me to this day — a true life testimony that magic happens when we open our hearts and trust where our intuition calls us to go – often into the unknown, but as we know, that’s where all the magic happens! Michael showed this to me in this unexpected journey of Spirit!

Thank you, Michael! My heart is wide open and always expecting miracle because of you! ☺
